Lincoln Business Club

Lincoln Business Club, which recently celebrated its third birthday, has three aims:

· Networking: between businesses operating in or around Lincoln

· Knowledge sharing: to provide local small- to medium-sized businesses with an opportunity to share knowledge on business matters and new legislation, receive presentations from experts, or request information

· Informing local opinion: acting as an effective conduit between local government and business - in either direction - on any matters relating to the business community.

 

With over 300 members - ranging from Hungarian dentistry to local undertakers; solicitors to bankers; financial advisers to website companies; skip hire to publishing services; catering to training; local charities to national enterprises – the Club really is a cross-section of the business community that is hard to match elsewhere! Our website allows you to locate members and provides other useful sources of information.

We meet at 7am on the last Friday of the month, at Lincoln City football stadium’s function room, "The Trust Suite". Each meeting has a ‘speed networking’ event – each table of ten has one minute per member to allow them promote their own business to the other nine – and more informal chances to meet and chat over coffee before, during or after the meetings.

Recent meetings have seen a parliamentary hustings, presentations from various professionals on the changing legislative framework in which we all work, advice on business communication, business and media presentation, practical advice on stress management and, from our local MP, Gillian Merron, an update on green issues.
